A home built around care, protection and hope.

Sons of Manasseh Children's Home (SMCH) is a registered Children's Charitable Institution (CCI) in Kenya.

Founded in 2007, SMCH exists to protect, care for, and empower orphans and vulnerable children by providing holistic support that transforms lives and restores hope.

We believe that every child deserves a safe environment, access to education, proper care and an opportunity to build a bright future.

From humble beginnings to a home of hope.

Our journey began with a simple act of kindness and grew into a lasting commitment to vulnerable children.

Sons of Manasseh Children's Home was founded by the late Rev. Joseph Munywoki and his wife, Beatrice Kirigo Thuita.

What began as a simple outreach in Dagoretti near Ndunyu slum — sharing the Gospel and a small meal with vulnerable children every Saturday — soon grew into something greater.

Many of the children they encountered were orphans, abandoned, or living in extreme poverty. A large number had lost parents to HIV/AIDS and were forced to drop out of school due to a lack of basic needs.

The need for shelter, food, education and protection became urgent. In response, Sons of Manasseh Children's Home was born.

After operating in Dagoretti in 2007, the home moved to Ngong in 2009 and later relocated to its current property in Kiserian in May 2013.

From humble beginnings, the home has continued to grow — never turning back from its mission.
